Growing up in the wild Yorkshire moors I have developed an organic approach to eating and cooking. I draw most of my inspiration from the seasons and Yorkshire has some of the finest seasonal produce in the UK. After honing my skills in professional kitchens and working on my blog, I decided to take a short break. So my partner and I packed our bags and set off for a trip around the world. I thought about leaving the food industry before I left for our trip but whilst we were away I fell back in love with food, being creative and couldn’t wait to return to the industry and decide on my next move.
I returned to Yorkshire and started working as a development chef for a supermarket chain. Developing new recipes and products for the company whilst working on photography sets styling our products. This became my favourite part of my roll and after some time I decided to take the plunge and become a freelance food stylist and recipe developer. I’ve never looked back.
Since going freelance I have created recipes and styled food for a variety of household brands. Such as Aldi, Morrisons, Morphy Richards, KFC, Meatless Farm co, Danone, Green King Pubs and many more. As well as food styling and recipe development I also work with private clients where I have catered private retreats and bespoke menus for dinner parties, supper clubs and even made wedding and celebration cakes.
My work includes menu, recipe and product development, food and product styling as well as catering private events and parties.
I live and breathe food and count myself lucky that I get to do something I love everyday.
